GAPP Team
Art Gertel (BS MS) has 30 years’ experience as a medical publication professional. He is a Past-President of AMWA and a Fellow of AMWA and EMWA. Art is the Vice President, Clinical Services, Regulatory, and Medical Writing for Beardsworth Consulting Group, Inc (Website).
Dr Cindy Hamilton (PharmD, ELS) has 30 years’ experience as a medical publication professional. She is a Past-President of AMWA. Cindy is the Principal of Hamilton House (Website).
Dr Adam Jacobs (PhD MSc FICR CSci) has 15 years’ experience as a medical publication professional. He is a Past-President of EMWA. Adam is the Director of Dianthus Medical Limited (Website).
Gene Snyder (BS MBA CMPP) has 15 years’ experience as a medical publication professional. He is a Past-President of ISMPP and a Member of the Ethics and Policy Committee of the Council of Scientific Editors. Gene is the President of FoxP2 Consulting.
Professor Karen Woolley (BHMS Ed Hons PhD CMPP) has 25 years’ experience as a medical publication professional. She is Past-President of ARCS, an Honorary Fellow of AMWA, a Director of ISMPP and Chair of its Asia-Pacific Advisory Committee. Karen is the CEO of ProScribe Medical Communications (Website) and holds Professor appointments in Australia at the University of Queensland (Website) and the University of the Sunshine Coast (Website).

GAPP Response Criteria
GAPP members will aim to respond quickly (within 24-48 hours) to stories that:
- Appear in an influential information source (influential in terms of prestige, geographic reach, likely readership; could be a newspaper, journal, social media platform)
- Lack information or include misinformation about publication professionals.
GAPP Team Disclosures
GAPP is not a professional association and does not issue policy statements. GAPP received funding from ISMPP to develop a website. A website was considered necessary to facilitate transparency about GAPP.
GAPP Team Members are volunteers, and are not paid for the time they dedicate to GAPP. They do not speak on behalf of any professional association, and are employees of their respective companies (as listed on the above).
